Gene Beston Award - Gene Beston was a long time friend of many MaSH members during his tenure with the Lipshaw (Thermo Fisher) Company and he worked hard to promote our society. In honor of his memory, the annual Gene Beston award was established and is presented to a recipient for his/her outstanding and exceptional service to the field of Histotechnology.
Ken Andrews Award - Ken Andrews was a founding member of both NSH and MaSH and the First President of MaSH. After his untimely passing on March 9, 2002, the MaSH Board of Directors voted to institute an annual award in his memory. The Ken Andrews Award is presented to a recipient who has demonstrated a willingness to promote learning and understanding in the field of Histotechnology.
Norma King Award - Norma King was also a founding member of MaSH, the 2nd President of MaSH, and mentored many histotechs throughout her career. The Norma King Award honors the MaSH Histotech of the Year and was presented for the first time at the 2007 Annual Region I Meeting on March 9, 2007 in Devens, MA. The award is presented to a current MaSH member who has demonstrated mentorship and teamwork in their workplace.
Submit your 150-200 word nomination by April 5th, 2024. Recipients will be announced at the Spring Symposium.
